what we do
If someone were to ask us,
“What does your ministry do?”
We would say that we don’t have a ministry. This is who the Nowells are. This is what we do. Then we would explain that we love the unlovable. We mend broken hearts, set captives free and we try to “leak” Christ wherever we go. Our biggest desire is that Christians and those on the streets develop a supernatural relationship with Our Father that changes their life forever.
To accomplish this we use the following:
Ministry of Presence
We hit the streets of Boulder. During this time we build relationships, communicate love and bestow value. Sometimes we head out with supplies and snacks for our friends on the streets. But a lot of times, we just provide friendship and love. Our hope is that the prostitutes, drug dealers, homeless adults and teens, hippies, travelers, and run-aways on the streets will have a life changing experience because of the Good News we share.
Supper on the Pearl
This is a weekly meal that is cooked and served by local churches, families, and groups. This allows others to “try on” working with the homeless. It gives SEVENS an opportunity to get to know some new kids. And most importantly, it gives our kids a great meal.
Prayer Walking
Covering. Wherever our feet land in Boulder county, we pray. We pray for people. We pray in our authority as Ambassadors of Christ. And just as important, pray with those that we come into contact with.
Summer Groups
Our summer program is called SABBATH. It inspires and equips believers to live a full life (zoe). A life that overflows with the Holy Spirit. A life that brings God glory and changes the environment in which they live. Each group spends time on a spiritual breakaway and then takes what they learn and blesses other on the streets of Boulder. If you are interested in SABBATH contact Niki.
Public Speaking
The Nowells love speaking at churches, youth groups, small groups, retreats, and businesses to inspire and equip believers to live a life marked by the presence of the Holy Spirit and service in the Name of our Lord. To bring Benny or Niki to speak click here

WHAT A TYPICAL WEEK LOOKS LIKE:
Sunday and Monday is our weekend. Family time, work around the house, the usual.
Monday is also Benny and Niki’s Sabbath day. Jesus would retreat to a mountain or the Garden of Gethsemane to receive what He needed from God. Benny and Niki take turns each week spending the day with God so they can serve from a full heart.
Tuesday is our office day. We handle a lot of the administrative details that have to get done.
Wednesday through Saturday are outreach days. In the mornings we do office work and go to meetings with churches, organizations and individuals. In the afternoons, we go to the streets to care for the hurting. Of course, Saturday evening is Supper on the Pearl.
